Cabañas Maria del Mar - Small Hotel Isla Mujeres
This hotel is located in Isla Mujeres, a small tropical island in the Mexican Caribbean just a short boat ride away from the international tourist destination of Cancun.
Our island is also the gateway to the Mayan culture that flourished here for thousands of years before the arrival of the Conquistador's. When the Spanish arrived they found a large number of statues of women dedicated to Ixchel, the goddess of love and fertility and that is where the island got it's name.
Since then, the island had been rediscovered by visitors from all over the world looking for an escape and contact with nature and the abundant marine life of the area.

- The beach Palapa bar "Buho's" can be found on Playa Cocos, the beach famous for its crystal clear waters and brilliant white sand. Buho's bar with its large selection of fresh tropical fruit cocktails, ice cold Mexican Beer and the original combination of swings and hammocks has made it one of the favorite hangout areas for the people that visit our beautiful island in the Mexican Caribbean.
