Papaya Playa - Small Hotels Tulum
Located in Tulum on the magical Mayan coast of the caribbean, Papaya Playa is nestled amongst the trees, overlooking the white sand coast of the stunning caribbean. Our hotel caters to the guest seeking an alternative to big resort vacations. Our restaurant, bar and cabañas are surrounded by tropical plants and white sand walkways, creating a very informal and naturally ambiante retreat. With less emphasis on architecture we have created an environment where guests can rest mind and body and natures simple pleasures replenish the soul.

Our rooms are built with natural materials, following the wisdom of the native people, with stucco walls and thatch roofs. Since the area has no electricity, our rooms are all candlelit at dusk, although we provide electricity from eveninguntil to 11 PM every

3 individual cottages, with hard floor, each one furnished with 2 double beds with mosquito nets, a living area, and private bathroom (including toilet, sink, and shower with hot water). The Villas have a porch overlooking the beautiful white sand beach and coconut palms scattered throughout the property

Rustic Cabañas (Without Bathroom)
As we move down to the beach, we reach 20 romantic cabanas. These units have a suspended double bed with mosquito nets and either sand or hard floor, as they lie right on the beach, where you can enjoy the nice sea breeze to stay cool. The shower and toilet facilities are common and are located just past the cabanas headed back toward the restaurant and bar area.
